It’s a real pleasure to welcome you here on my website and I sincerely hope that it means we’ll meet in person soon in the South Of France !

My name is Sylvain Heraud and I live in Villefranche sur Mer, a beautiful and authentic village between Nice and Monaco on the French Riviera. Since 2015, I am a tour guide, group accompanier and travel expert specialized in the South of France.

Travelling and working abroad has always been a major motivation in my life. After graduating a Master’s Degree in Economics and International Trade, I signed up for a year and a half in the French Navy, as helmsman on an Oceanographic research ship in the Pacific Ocean. That allowed me to discover Tahiti, New Caledonia, Fiji, Tonga, Samoa islands when I was only 25. It definitely gave me the will to discover the World and make it my playground.

I discovered Vietnam in 1996 and decided to create a company that would export its beautiful crafts to France. I lived 4 years between Vietnam and France, exploring this amazing country, promoting its culture and incredibly talented craftsmen and women.

But it also made me realize that I needed to improve my English if I wanted to climb the next step. So, I moved to London in 1999. I planned to stay 6 months initially and I stayed 5 years. That’s when I started working in the business events industry as a trade show manager for a British company specialized in emerging countries. That journey took me to Ukraine, Russia, Turkey, Egypt, the UAE, Indonesia.

Then I moved to Paris and New York City as a Trade and Fashion show director for a collective of the finest French Lingerie and Swimwear Brands. For 6 years, between 2004 and 2009, I was lucky enough to manage a high-end fashion event in New York City regrouping the best Lingerie and Swimwear brands in the World. It was an incredible experience to meet so many talented designers and offer them a platform to show their collections.

In 2010, after 11 years spent in some of the most famous and crazy cities in The World, I decided to change my life and I moved to the South of France. Thanks to my best friend, I worked 5 years in Monaco as a fund raiser for a charity for the Prince of Monaco.

But my entrepreneur spirit and my growing love for the South of France convinced me to change my trade again. It was the time for me to drop my luggage and focus on welcoming foreigners in my beautiful country. In 2015 I quit my job in Monaco and ever since I am a tour guide, group accompanier and travel expert on the famous and beautiful French Riviera
